Being Tricky aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The site is run by one person, so we test with the tools we have: keyboard-only navigation, automated checks (axe), browser zoom to 200%, and the screen readers built into Android (TalkBack) and Windows (Narrator).
What we do
- Keyboard navigation and visible focus on every page, plus a “Skip to content” link
- Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast
- Alt text on images and captions on screenshots
- Logical heading order and labeled forms
- Respect for your device’s reduced-motion setting
Known limitations
Some older posts (written before 2025) still have images without useful alt text. We are adding it as we update each post.
Report a barrier
Email contact@beingtricky.com (subject: Accessibility) with the page, the problem, and the device, browser and assistive technology you use. We aim to respond within 5 business days, and if we can’t fix something quickly, we’ll help you get the information another way.
