Comment Policy

Last updated

Comments are where readers share what worked on their device, ask follow-up questions and point out mistakes. Good questions often become new guides or FAQ answers. These rules keep comments useful and safe.

Please do

  • Mention your device and software version when something works differently for you.
  • Stay on topic and be kind, including when you disagree.
  • Report errors. We’d rather know.

Not allowed

  • Spam, self-promotion and links added only for SEO.
  • “Account recovery experts”, hackers for hire, fake support numbers or anything promising to get into an account. These are scams and are removed on sight.
  • Links to pirated software, cracked apps, or tools to spy on or break into other people’s devices or accounts.
  • Personal data: yours or anyone else’s phone numbers, addresses, account names or screenshots showing them.
  • Harassment, hate, threats or illegal content.

Never post passwords, verification codes, recovery codes or card details in a comment, and never send them to anyone who replies offering help. We will never ask for them.

How moderation works

  • Your first comment is held for approval. After that, your comments usually appear straight away.
  • Comments are moderated by one person, so approval can take 1–2 days.
  • We may remove comments that break these rules, or edit out personal data, without notice. Links in comments are marked nofollow.
  • Replies from the article’s author show an “Author” badge. Anyone else claiming to be us is not.
  • We can’t offer one-on-one tech support in the comments, but we read every question.

Your data

What we store when you comment (name, email, IP address, the optional comment cookie and Gravatar) is explained in our privacy policy. To have a comment deleted, email privacy@beingtricky.com from the address you commented with.
